Uplift Your Soul through Meditation!

Joyful celebrationIn today’s world, it is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The responsibilities pile up, demanding our attention, leaving little time to relax and unwind. It is important to our overall well-being to find the time to take a break from the mundane tasks of the day, as well as any worries and stress that have accumulated. Meditation, no matter how brief, can uplift our souls by providing our minds, bodies, and spirits with a recharging that can boost our productivity, creativity, and energy.

Easy Ways to Meditate

Meditation comes in many forms. Many people think meditation means sitting in silence trying to still your thoughts or chanting “Om” while sitting cross-legged on the floor. These are forms of meditation that can be very useful; however, it takes a lot of practice to learn how to clear your mind of thoughts, and even when you do, it may only last for seconds at a time. The forms of meditation I would like to talk about are easier to fulfill, and they may also bring you much more enjoyment.

Any time we let go of worries and concerns and turn our focus toward pleasant activities, we are meditating. For instance here are some of my favorite ways to meditate:

  • Breathe – Taking a few deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth while concentrating on your breath is a simple way to meditate. You can also place your hands over your heart as you do this and release any thoughts you have about your concerns and worries. Concentrate on your breath and your heart. As you breathe, your breaths should sound like the ocean waves.
  • Nature – Enjoy time in nature. Go for a walk, hike, or jog. Breathe in the air, listen to the birds, and try to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. Taking a break near water, such as the ocean, a lake, or a creek, can bring peace to your soul.
  • Exercise – Get your body moving. Focusing on fitness helps to get the blood flowing and releases happy endorphins. When you add music to the mix, you can be transported by the tunes as your body moves. Dancing is a wonderful way to meditate.
  • Creativity – Draw, paint, and create. Take your mind off your worries and concerns by creating a work of art.
  • Gardening – Planting flowers to beautify your surroundings or vegetables to provide homegrown food. A lot of personal satisfaction can be achieved from growing your own plants. It is wonderful to care for them and to watch them grow. This not only is a method of meditation, but also assists the earth and helps you to ground your energies.
  • Reading, Watching a Movie, or Playing a Game – Reading and watching movies has a way of transporting us to another world in healthy ways. A family fun night with movies or games also helps with bonding and the creation of positive memories.
  • Energy Healing or Massage – Reiki energy healing is a wonderful form of meditation that cleanses your energy centers and provides positive benefits for your mind, body, and soul. Treating yourself to a massage helps you to relax and unwind, and may include additional benefits when you include seaweed wraps, facials, and more. Self-care equates to a healthier you.
  • Cleaning – This one might not sound like fun; however, I have found that immersing myself in a task such as cleaning gives my mind a rest as I concentrate on the tasks at hand. Plus, organizing your belongings may create a more relaxed space.
  • Spend Time with Loved Ones – When we take the time to play with children or pets, or spend time with those we love, it can be a form a meditation, as long as we are living in the moment and letting go of our stress and worries. Have fun and enjoy the people you love by participating in activities that bring joy to all of you.
  • Meditation Journeys or Guided Meditation – A guided meditation is one that can take you on a journey in your mind to help you relax and unwind, to meet up with your loved ones in spirit and the angels, and more. As you can see, there are many ways in which you can relax and unwind. It is important to give yourself time for self-care and reenergizing your mind, body, and spirit. Do your best to incorporate some form of meditation into your day.

The Universal Gift of Spirit Communication Is Within You!

Each one of us is born with the ability to communicate through the hearts of our spirits with loved ones in heaven, the angels, and God. There is an invisible communication network that connects us to all beings in existence. The ability to tap into that network is a skill that can be learned, or as I like to refer to it, a skill that can be remembered. Throughout the many lifetimes we have lived, as well as the time spent in heaven, we have known of this ability and have used it. However, when we are born on earth, our memories of this ability can be veiled from us until the right time approaches. Having an open mind and an open heart helps us to retrieve the knowledge of spirit-to-spirit communication built into our souls. It also helps when you have an older soul, someone who has lived many lifetimes and whose gift is strong, to help guide you through the process and learn how to better manage it.

Benefits of Connecting with Heaven

There are many benefits to learning how to communicate via your spirit with loved ones who have crossed over into heaven, as well as the angels and God. While you may receive signs they are around, it is even better to know why they are around and what they would like to express to you beyond their love. Our loved ones in spirit help us with our lives every day, and if we can open ourselves up to their messages, we can better navigate our lives and become more open to the incredible love that streams into our souls on a daily basis. Our guys and gals in heaven know how challenging life on earth can be. Because of this and because of the great love they have for us, they do their best to support us through our earthly journeys.

Learning a New Language

Learning how to communicate via your spirit can be equated to learning a new language. This is because the way we communicate through our spirits is different from the way we communicate with one another on the earth plane. Loved ones in spirit and the angels use all of our senses to transmit messages. Seeing, feeling, hearing, tasting, smelling, and knowing are ways in which the information is received and transmitted; however, the information comes through our extrasensory senses, which go beyond our earthly senses. They also use symbols to represent information and to communicate concepts. Each person’s symbols are unique, and it takes time to decipher the codes. One of the most amazing aspects of mediumship is that it grows, deepens, and changes. Each day brings an opportunity to expand your knowledge and hone your skills.

Reawakening to the Gifts Within

As a spirit medium, I am an old soul who has been called by God to share the gift of spirit communication with you. When I received my calling, it was one of the most amazing moments in my life. I have known for a long time that my mission includes not only sharing my gifts, but also teaching others to reach within to realize their own abilities to communicate via their spirits.

Spirit mediums are not born knowing they are mediums or conduits to the Other Side. The veil that covers knowledge when we are born is lifted when the time is right for us to share our gifts. We are made aware of our gifts through many experiences, and in my case, I received a true calling that left absolutely no doubt as to my purpose in this lifetime. Not everyone receives this type of calling, nor is it always so strong. Each person has their own mission in life, and serving others in a professional capacity in this way may or may not be your purpose; however, you can still learn how to communicate with loved ones in spirit and the angels. If you feel a strong desire to learn, it is because it is necessary for the growth of your spirit to tap into beneficial guidance from heaven.

Education is Key

One of the first steps I took when reawakening to my gifts was to find a teacher to help me better understand how they worked. I trained with some of the top spirit mediums in the world, including James Van Praagh, Tony Stockwell, John Holland, and more. What amazed me the most was my experience triggered a remembrance. As I attended the workshops, information recorded within my soul came flooding back and I knew how to perform tasks they were not even teaching. It was truly an amazing experience. A whole new world was opening up for me, and I knew with all of my heart and soul the time had come for me to share my gifts with the world.

What My Students Experience

Students I work with today experience an incredible shift in their mindsets while attending my workshops. It is wonderful to see people open up to spirit for the first time and to grow into their gifts and abilities. Opening up to your natural gifts and abilities is an awe-inspiring experience that floods your life with knowledge, love, and wonder about our extraordinary existence.

Staying Strong in Spite of Setbacks

Sometimes it seems as though God is delaying the granting of your dreams and answers to your prayers. He is not being mean or cruel to you. Instead, he is preparing the way for you by clearing out obstacles that would have prevented you from living your dreams. Having patience and waiting for his perfect timing may cause you to feel frustration, especially if you feel as though the answers to your prayers have taken a long time to be answered.

Working on Your Behalf

Know that God and the angels are working on your behalf. While you are waiting for them to clear your path, take the time to take care of you. Meditate, take care of tasks and responsibilities that need to get done, and take time to play and to participate in activities that bring you joy and happiness.

You are surrounded by your deceased loved ones and angels during this time. They know the waiting can be stressful; however, they are telling you to take a deep relaxing breath and appreciate what is before you right now. The time is coming for your prayers to be answered and your dreams to come true. You just need to hold on a little while longer with hope, faith, and trust in your heart.

Let Go and Let God

Release your concerns to God and your angels, and allow yourself to rest easy. They will not deny you what you most desire in this lifetime. God and your angels support your love-based dreams and prayers. Allow them to do their work by taking care of yourself and your well being. If you have been working too hard, then take time out to play and enjoy yourself. If you have been letting responsibilities slide, then it is time to work on the tasks on your list. As you go about your activities, be open and receptive to the messages that will be sent to you via your intuition, as this is how your next steps will be provided for the manifestation of your dreams and prayers.

Finding Peace

When you move forward with absolute trust in the positive outworking of your affairs through faith in your heavenly support team, you will be rewarded in ways that exceed your expectations. For now, place your hands over your heart and take a deep breath in through your nose. As the air enters your body, envision positive energy flowing into your spirit. As you exhale through your mouth, envision yourself releasing all negative and fearful thoughts and expectations. The negative energies will dissipate and be transformed into loving energy by your angels as they are released from your spirit. Repeat this breathing exercise at least three to five times or until you feel a peaceful calm settle over you. By doing so, you are freeing yourself from continual striving, stress, and worry in order to allow God and the angels to step into your situation.

Help From Heaven

Enjoy the blessing of this day. Your heavenly support team is by your side with each and every step that you take. Trust in their love, and have faith that they will correct situations for you by removing harmful influences or obstacles that are hampering your progress. It is time to welcome the positive into your life by appreciating the beautiful spirit that you are in an environment that is safe, and full of love and blessings.

Easing the Mind of Its Fears and Worries

The human mind is an amazing source for all of our emotions and thoughts, the functioning of our physical body, and much more. It is also the home of the human ego, which is a mechanism put in place as an obstacle meant to present us with challenges in our lives. While it can provide a stimulus to move us to action, it can also provide negative messages which can have the opposite effect. In this mode, it is the defeatist voice in your head trying to convince you that events will not work out to your advantage, that you are not good enough to succeed, and a whole host of other negative thoughts and statements that are illusions born out of fears, worries, and regrets. The human ego is persuasive and persistent with its messages. It can be difficult to tune it out when it tries to drum out positive thoughts with a relentless interjection of worries, fears, and regrets that play in your head. It is possible to learn how to minimize the negative voice of the human ego and release yourself from its hurtful and time-wasting mind chatter. Here are some ways that may help you to open your mind to the wonderful possibilities present in your life every day:

  1. Know the negative voice of the human ego is skilled at providing illusions meant to veer you off track and block you from achieving your dreams. Acknowledge the negative thoughts by thanking your ego for its input and letting it know they are not necessary, and then replace the negative thoughts with positive affirmations about yourself or your circumstances.
  1. Focus on the present. You are safe and you are loved in this moment. Count the blessings you have, no matter how big or small.
  1. Have confidence in your ability to overcome adversity. You have done so in the past and you will do so again.
  1. Make a gratitude list of everything you are thankful for, including all of the beautiful qualities you possess that make you who you are.
  1. Know that every situation, no matter how negative, has a positive reason for occurring. Keep looking for the positive reasons and you will find them. You may not recognize them right away, but your guys and gals in heaven know you are searching for answers and will send epiphanies your way when you are ready to accept them. The more you practice this, the faster the epiphanies will come to you. This will also help clear your mind of worries and fears while helping you recognize workable solutions.
  1. Review your life and see how circumstances seemed to miraculously line up for you. Can you recognize how one situation led to another and how you benefited by the progress you made? Once you can recognize this, you are more likely to relax when circumstances appear to be challenging because you will have learned that situations have a way of working out—sometimes better than you had ever imagined.
  1. When you are struggling with a particular situation and your stress levels are through the roof, surrender your grief and troubles to God. God wants us to ask for help and God can help us during both good times and challenging times. By asking for help and handing your problems up to God, you are surrendering your attachment to a particular outcome. This does not mean you are giving up. It means you are asking for the best resolution for you and all involved, whatever that may entail. God and your guys and gals in heaven have a much bigger picture than you do regarding your life. When you let go of continually striving for particular outcomes, you open yourself up to guidance into better outcomes than you could have imagined.
  1. Be patient, trust in the circumstances you are in, and wait for situations to unfold. Too often, the human ego creates a feeling of steady insistence for situations to go only the way we want them to go. By pushing to have your way, you may be closing yourself off from better solutions. God knows what you need, even if you do not recognize it yourself. By letting go of what you think you need, you may open the door to magnificent opportunities. Learn how to sit back and relax while waiting for instructions through repeated messages and signs from your guys and gals in heaven.
  1. Meditation is a powerful tool for helping the mind, body, and spirit return to simplicity. Put on soft instrumental music, sit or lie down in a comfortable position, and focus on your breath and the heart of your spirit. Doing so gives your mind, body, and soul the opportunity to relax and be more open to positive solutions from your Heavenly Support Team.
  1. Know that the events in your life are guided and orchestrated by life plans, also known as soul contracts. These contracts contain high-level agreements made prior to your birth on earth to experience certain lessons for your soul. Even though the lessons are chosen, the way they are presented in your life is determined once you are here on earth. One of the reasons for this is the gift of free will. You choose how you react to situations, which also determines how you move through lessons. The pace in which you learn is unique to you. Therefore, events are facilitated on earth based on your progress, as well as the progress of those around you. Often, the soul contracts of multiple people are tied into one event that is orchestrated on earth. The facilitation of this process is absolutely amazing.
  1. Know you are loved and supported by God and the angels. They have your best interests at heart and will do what they can without interfering with lessons that need to be learned.
  1. Learn how to trust God. Sometimes, pain and frustration regarding situations may cause a loss of faith in God and your life plan. One of my most important lessons had to do with learning how to trust in the circumstances I am in, as well as placing my absolute trust in God. The reward is peace and a more relaxed outlook on life (less stress, worry, and needless fears).
  1. Learn how to recognize and understand the signs and messages your guys and gals in heaven send you on a daily basis. By connecting with the spiritual side of your nature, you will more readily recognize and benefit from the assistance you receive when navigating your life.
  1. No matter what the circumstances, know that God is not punishing you or testing you. There is no doubt that life on earth can be very challenging. We agreed to come down here to learn lessons in a hard and fast way. Sometimes our greatest challenges can turn out to be our greatest triumphs. Again, keep looking for the positive in negative situations.
  1. Create a support team of friends and trusted people you can go to when you need a helping hand. Asking for help when you need it and offering it to others when they need it, helps you to acknowledge one of the fundamental reasons we exist – to love and be loved. No man or woman is an island. We all need help from time to time, and a healthy balance of give and take in your relationships will help all involved through the rough patches.
  1. Know you will be given everything you need to fulfill your destiny.
  1. Know you are in control of you and only you. You cannot control the events that occur in your life, nor can you control how others behave. The only control you have is over your reaction to those events. You decide through thoughts, actions and words how events will affect you. Remember, happiness is a choice and your thoughts determine the paths you will take and the lessons you will learn.
  1. Talk to God every day about the good and the challenging. God is right there in your heart, ready to listen and send love when you need it. Who better to talk things over with than the one who created you and has your best interests at heart?
  1. Learn to truly love who you are with honest acceptance and acknowledgement of the unique and beautiful soul you are.
  1. Remind yourself that most of your worries have never come true.
  1. Instead of letting your mind drift to the worst possible outcomes, work on visualizing the best outcomes or more positive outcomes. Try not to be too hard on yourself. This takes practice.
  1. If there is positive action that you can take, follow through with it. If you are unable to do so, let the situation go and trust you are receiving help from above.
  1. Spiritual timing and what we deem as necessary timing for events can be two different things. God knows what you need and when you need it.
  1. Do not lose sight of the love you do have in your life, including self-love, love of others, love from pets.
  1. Engage in self-care. Take care of you and participate in activities that bring you joy.
  1. Take a break from negativity. If you find yourself becoming stressed out from negative news on the television, Internet, or social media, take a break from it. While it is good to remain knowledgeable about current events, it may be healthier for your mind, body, and spirit to balance negativity with positive stories and activities.
  1. Be kind to yourself and others. Treat yourself and others the way you would like to be treated. Random and planned acts of kindness uplift your soul and state of mind. Moreover, your thoughtful acts may mean the world to someone in need.
  1. When facing challenges, it may be helpful to think in terms of “just for today.” By setting positive goals for yourself and focusing on the present, you are more likely to succeed. This will work for both short-term and long-term goals. For example, if you focus on short-term tasks related to your long-term goals, you will take steps each day toward your long-term goals.
  1. Know that miracles can and do happen each and every day—they can happen to you and those you love.
  1. Know that love is the soul reason for your existence.
